THE ROUTE
Our vehicle of choice is a 1998 1L Nissan Micra, partly because its renowned as a reliable vehicle, but mostly because it is the car I own. This fully loaded small car complete with 3 team-mates will have to endure a 10,000 mile trip to Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia and back, crossing 1 sea, 3 deserts, 7 time zones and 17 countries,as well as covering a third of the circumference of the globe. We will try to make this epic journey with as little modifications to the car as possible, adding only a sump guard, and some larger tyres.
THE TEAM
Our plan for this journey involves us driving south through much of Europe, crossing to Asia in turkey, heading north through Georgia into Russia and Kazakhstan, then heading south through the Uzbekistan desert to Kyrgyzstan and back to Kazakhstan, into Russia and then south into Mongolia.
THE CAR
The are we there yet team Currently consists of 3 18 year olds from Tregaron. Andrew and Jack Edwards have known each other since they were about 5, while Jack Addams met the other two in Tregaron seccondary school, of which the 3 attended until the summer of 2013.
