Apart from quenching our thirst for adventure, the aim of the epic journey is to raise money and awareness for charity’s such as Water aid, Help for Heroes and Cool Earth, with a goal of raising £1,500 to split between the three causes
768 million people in the world do not have access to safe water. This is roughly one in ten of the world's population.Around 700,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation - that's almost 2,000 children a dayIn 2012/13 Water Aid reached 1.7 million people with safe water and 2.2 million people with sanitation. Just £15 can enable one person to access a lasting supply of safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation. For every $1 invested in water and sanitation, an average of $4 is returned in increased productivity.

Cool Earth is a charity working with local communities to secure forests at risk of being destroyed within the next 18 months. Only 10% of donations are spent on admin and governance, making sure every penny possible goes on safeguarding our climate.
